Telstra’s Android Tablet Coming Soon

Telstra is getting ready to launch its own tablet device which is based on Android. According to report published in the Telco’s website, the new Android tablet was nicknamed as the ‘T-Touch Tab’, which will be a best one to the next generation network. The release of this tablet might be expected in November. At a Christmas product preview, this October, which was given to be journalists, this product was be aired briefly, according to a representative for the carrier.

From the posts discussed in the Whirlpool’s broadband forum, details about the unconfirmed specifications for the gadget were talked about. The tablet runs the Android 2.1 Operating System and has a 7 inch capacitative touch screen. It also has connectivity of Wi-Fi and GPS and up to 16 MB through micro SD.

Telstra will be the most recent member to join the bandwagon of computer tablets, while Samsung and Tegatech introducing there own product of tablets following the successful iPad from Apple. The post in the Whirlpool forum said that the Telstra prepaid would be priced around 299 US dollars. It has got a 5 mega pixel camera and 800×480 pixel resolutions. New windows Phone- 7 from Microsoft, named Telstra, earlier today as its Australian launch partner.
