Corel Releases iPad App for Digital Art Photo Creation and Slideshow

The list of iPad compatible applications seems to be growing by the day, especially in the light of the astronomical sales figures being experienced. The makers of Paintshop and CorelDraw have recently joined the fray and released a new application for the iPad, known as “Paint It”. This will be the first application the company has created for the iPad. According to Corel, this new application will enable users to manipulate their pictures to produce digital art works and also view images stored on the iPad as a slide show.

For those whom have used the “Painter” application for Windows PC, the Auto Painting feature has been taken to greater heights in the new “Paint It”, as the pictures can be automatically painted by the application in this case. You will not need to do any painting at all and this will be great news for lazy digital artists and those whom have so much work st their disposal. Little wonder the sales figures of the iPad keeps sky rocketing.

During the slide show of your pictures, Paint It allows you to apply different painting effects to enhance your photographs. These five effects include the illustration, oil effect, pen and ink, the impressionist and modern. Alternatively, you can elect to apply a specific style randomly as the pictures move through the slide show. To cap it all, music stored on your iPad can be chosen to accompany the slides through the show.

One big advantage associated with Paint It is that any one capable of operating the iPad can use it effectively as it requires no complexities. It was designed with amateur artists in mind as it is much easier to use than the Corel Painter. Though, Corel Paint It has a design based on the natural media engine used in Corel Painter, you can utilize any of its twenty four brushes and styles to turn your photograph into an artistic impression. Using its automated art creator feature in line with the controls you have set, Paint It can transform your iPad into a mini art gallery within seconds.

Paint It for the iPad is relatively cheap, going for just about a dollar and able to create works of art from your photos in no time. Though, the application still needs a little improvement as some of the pictures came out looking better than others even though the same effects were applied. We must say that Paint It has a great future lying ahead in terms of possibilities.

Right now, Corel Paint It can be gotten from Apple’s App Store and it has seen extensive discussions and reviews about it on major social networking sites. The transformed photographs can be shared via e-mail or uploaded directly to Facebook, though there is no integration with Twitter yet.
