Brazilian-Made iPhone 4 Goes on Sale

We have heard and read a lot about Foxconn’s new Brazilian factory in recent few months. The Foxconn’s Brazilian factory is not only supposed to assist the manufacturer to meet massive demand for iPads and iPhones, but also offer the devices at an affordable price in Latin America.

Because of the extreme import-taxes, the couple of year old iPhone 4 costs customers for a massive $1000 in Brazil and the latest iPhone 4S costs around $1500. Apple’s fans in Brazil are expecting to see a considerable drop in the prices of devices for the fact these are now made in Foxconn’s Brazilian plant.

MacRumors recently reports that the Cupertino-based technology giant is now offering Brazilian-made 8GB iPhone 4 in its online store for the country. We have already heard a leaked report regarding the 8GB iPhone 4 in November last year. The noticeable thing is that the price of the device is still on the higher side for some unknown reasons.

It is assumed that Apple and Foxconn perhaps couldn’t be able to meet all of the requirements set by Brazilian government to receive certification that are essential to make devices freed from the weighty import taxes. While on the other hand, we assumed that all the matters between the company and government have been settled down last month.

Finally, the much expected iPhone 4 with “Made in Brazil” model are now on sale, though with higher price than expected. We still don’t have any clue of when we will see the Brazilian-made iPad and iPhone 4S units. It is believe that it won’t take long for Apple and Foxconn to come up with both these devices.

Brazilian Apple’s fan are also hoping to see a significant drop in the Apple’s products in the country soon as $1000 for iPhone 4 and $1500 for iPhone 4S are far too much.
