AT&T, US Cellular Announce Galaxy Tab Prices

The prices of the new versions of Galaxy tab from Samsung are announced by the companies i.e. US Cellular and AT&T, in which the price announced by AT&T is truly shocking. The price was announced as 649 USD which is 50 USD extra than the price of Galaxy Tab from Samsung vended by any other mobile carriers and also 20 percent extra than the contending iPad Wi-Fi + 3G version from apple.

The second- largest mobile carrier of the nation, AT&T will provide dual data plans to the Android powered Samsung tablet; a 250 MB data plan is priced as 14.99 USD and a 2 GB data plan at a cost of 25 USD. Any of these data plans doesn’t need any contracts and this tablet is not offered with any contract based, subsidized price by AT&T.

This blow is nicely tried to be softened by Samsung by giving a credit of 50 USD for the company’s Media Hub Television along with a movie store. With each of the Galaxy tab sold by AT&T. the truth is that this galaxy tab of 7 inches screen will share the shelf of AT&T and sits next to the most familiar, a larger but still less expensive compared to Galaxy tab, the Apple’s iPad.

Both the Apple’s iPad and the Samsung’s galaxy tab are sold even by the Verizon Wireless Carriers. The Galaxy Tab from Verizon is priced as 599 USD without any contract and the plan is with two years contract priced as 399 USD. The iPad+ Wi-Fi version from Verizon 3G version is priced as 629 USD which makes the Galaxy tab less expensive compared to Verizon’ iPad.

The Tab from US Cellular will also cost similar to that of Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint versions, which is 399 USD with a contract for 2 years and with no contract it is priced to be 599 USD. Two data plans are also provided by US Cellular for Galaxy Tab: the 200 MB data plan is priced to be 14.99 USD and the 5 GB data plan along with the Wi-Fi hotspot form is available at 54.99 USD.

In the review the galaxy tab appears to be a sturdy hardware piece except for the platform of Android which doesn’t have apps that are specific for this tablet so as to make it a strong buying option for the users above the apple’s iPad.
