Mobile advertising on smart phones will fetch more technology oriented audience. It is observed that a person with smart phone will click ads more frequently than a person with a standard mobile. These people are sure to click your ads because of compatibility and convenience the OS offers. It does not affect the performance of the device or any application, when you are browsing through given advertisements.

Android Android Users Click on Mobile Ads More Than iPhone Owners

According to an ad network named Chitika, it is estimated that persons using phones with Android OS click ads more often than people using iPhones. If one goes by figures, android users click 81 percent more ads than standard iPhone users. Google takes the cake for more ad targets. Hence for any advertising company Android users are more important when compared to iPhone users. This trend is expected to stay and increasingly more advertising companies will want to get hold of Android users.

When 1.4 million people were considered for a study conducted to observe click rates, it was found that iPhone users click rate was only 0.65 percent, whereas the Android users click through rate was found to be 1.19 percent. For both the users ads were presented in same manner by Chitika . This trend of more Android users clicking ads, can be attributed to Android OS multitasking capability. One can click on interesting advertisements without worrying about application being slowed down. Apple has not embedded multitasking in iPhones and hence less ads are clicked for fear of ill affects on application. Apple has started working on iOS for future devices and is expected to have multitasking capability for them. iPad has better displays and larger displays make for a good ad viewing experience, so the trend of viewing ads on iPads is also catching up. Click rate for iPad users was about 1 percent, which is comparable with Android phone users. Google is by far the best in multitasking and it establishes this fact in its creation of OS called Android.  Mobile advertising companies are targeting more Android users currently. This click through rate is expected to rise even more as Android has just begun, and is expected to conquer the future of iOS. Giving a competition alongside is Apple’s iPad.
