A Music Service Application is Submitted by 7digital to Apple

7digital, the online music store, has put forward an application for iPhone, in App store for sale. An official from Apple, said that the name of the application is with Apple yet an as a matter of fact, those positive discussions in between the two companies are being taking place. The news about its time of launching is unclear and also whether the approval of the application will be done or not is not known yet, as the rules of Apple store may be violated by this.

The music can be wirelessly synchronized by the software of Apple though bought from 7digital. Actually some applications of wireless sync were rejected in the past, though those apps may not really violate the rules listed. The company might also hesitate to accept an application that is related to third-party music companies as they might be viewed as direct competitors to the Apple’s iTunes store.

This app from 7digital enables the user to purchase music and to play back. This music firm, which is UK-based, launched the app, last month for Android gadgets. It enables the users

  • To access music on 7digital actively
  • To synchronize the 7digital music wirelessly, to the phone (unlike the iTunes)
  • To use it without any subscription
  • To get rich quality MP3s (to about 320 kbps)
  • Unified music played

However Apple has been fine with solely streaming services like Pandora, Slacker, and Last-fm etc.

7digital recently introduced a web-based mobile music store. 7digital states that this runs on most of the cell phones that are browser-equipped. The store is right now confined to the United Kingdom and soon it is planned to expand it to about 32 different countries. 7digital will be made as an official partner of music by Carrier O2 for it mobile devices, and this is acknowledged by the company.

Many experts of the market are thinking that the talks might be positive as recently Apple has approved Spootify and Pandora streaming music applications for iOS. This 7digital music application resembles iTunes application of Apple mostly and this tends experts to think that it might be accepted by Apple. Whatever the result might be, 7digital does not appear to be worrying so much regarding the issue.

Recently, signing the killer business deal with the company O2, 7digital appears to be pretty successful. Its app launched for Blackberry and Android OS user, has been very successful as more than 500,000 installs have been seen from the time of its launch.

Now, everyone else is waiting to see how positive the talks are going to be regarding the 7digital’s music application. Hope Apple takes this new app of 7digital into its store and many experts are anticipating this too.
